Rules for Project Approval Project Approval A theatre project such as a performance of a play, may be presented by any member(s) of The Oslo Players to the executive committee. Before being considered by the executive committee the project must fulfill the following criteria: 1. The project must have a director and a producer, who will jointly present the project. In the case of extremely small projects, upon the approval of the executive committee, the same person might act both as director and producer. 2. The project must have a reasonable estimate of roles/jobs, on-stage and off, to be filled. 3. lf the total number of roles/jobs is more than 20, the project must have the support of enough members willing to fulfill at least half the number of total roles/jobs. 4. The project must have a detailed budget proposal. 5. The project must be shown to be economically viable. lf potential income losses (such as low ticket sales) cannot be made up by The Oslo Players, the project must be funded by external investors or guarantors, or have a realistic proposal for such funding. 6. The project must have an appropriate venue or proposal for such venue. Upon approval the director will set a date for auditions (public upon the discretion of the director) and the executive committee will set a date for re-evaluation of the project. Project Re-evaluation An approved project must be re-evaluated by the executive committee. The executive committee may at this time reject the project if it: 1. has not and will not receive necessary funding according to criterion five of the project approval, 2. has not filled all the acting roles and production jobs, or 3. does not have an appropriate venue. In extraordinary circumstances where any of these criteria are not met, the executive committee may set a date for a second re-evaluation.
